Eyeballing the Prize...

Last Friday night, before Jason deployed, we met another couple from church, Matt and Eva and their 4 month old daughter Julia, for sushi. We have had a fun time getting to know them this past year; Matt is the one who has gotten Jason hooked on surfing...thanks, Matt! Of course the guys ordered Japanese beer and Julia thought it looked a whole lot better than what she normally gets to eat...all I can say is that they're starting her young!



The sushi place brought us three samples of ice cream and Eva and I gave them the taste test. Our guesses weren't quite on the mark. We guessed apricot instead of plum wine, instead of green tea, and we just couldn't place the third one which ended up being red bean. (I would have never guessed red bean, although it had a distinct starchy texture.)
