It's A Dog's Life

We have decided that Lucy is a dog who knows how to take advantage of the good life. While she loves to go on walks, swim at the beach, and play fetch, she is also a sucker for her naps. Lucy is quite adapt at finding the best (ie. the most comfortable) place to snooze. Last night Jason was packing everything up for the next couple of weeks that he will have to spend on the boat while his squadron runs through some more exercises. (Thankfully, he does get to come home a bit early because my due date is right in the middle of the time away.) Since we bought him a new memory foam mattress pad to help make his bed on board the ship a little bit more comfy, he decided to cut up his old egg crate mattress pad and use it as extra padding for some of his electronic stuff. During all of the chaos of organizing and stuffing his belongings into various bags, Lucy decided that the leftover bit of egg crate made a suitable second bed.

I guess the egg crate hit the spot, as she didn't even seem to notice that she was lying on top of the kitchen scissors!

Later we noticed that she'd made it even more comfortable by folding it up for extra padding :)
