Yesterday we went to Frankenmuth, a little town with Bavarian architecture, located about 45 minutes away. We ate lunch at the Bavarian Inn, where I enjoyed their world famous chicken dinner.

Afterwards, we strolled around the town, poked our heads into a few shops, and stopped for some ice-cream cones. Jason's parents are learning pretty quickly that I love my ice-cream!

We had to scoot, though, when an afternoon storm rolled in. We made it back to the car just as the downpour began and then spent the rest of the afternoon at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. Bronner's is seriously the world's largest Christmas store and the grandparents got into the grandparent mode (something that is fun to do!) and bought Benjamin some ornaments while I picked up a stocking stuffer for him.
