Concert Under the Stars

Last night was the opening night for the US Army's Concert Under the Stars at Fort Monroe. We went and were joined by our friends, the Barrs and Hakes. It was SUCH a fun evening. As the last song ended, Jason and I looked at each other and said, "We're definitely doing this all summer!" We brought a picnic dinner, blankets, and lawn chairs. It was so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy a breeze from the Chesapeake Bay and chat with friends while the big kids played with the little kids.
Samuel chatted it up with Sarah:
Jemma taught Benjamin how to roll down a hill:
Do these two look like brothers or what?
To eat a slice of watermelon or to eat a shoe, that is the question...
Daniel is Benjamin's hero. B likes to be the center of Daniel's attention and actually gets upset when he has to share Daniel with the other little kiddies at church.
Benjamin tries to figure out the purpose of a jump rope:
Is it ear plugs?
A Telephone?
Drum sticks?
A Microphone?
Oh I get it....you just wave it around!
