Samuel can definitely pack away the food. I remember when Benjamin was the same age and I would describe him as "eating with gusto." Samuel seems to take it up a notch but unfortunately, he doesn't limit his munching to just food. He'll stuff anything in his mouth and chomp away, including rocks (his current fav), dirt, tape, twigs, book pages, and paper towels/Kleenex. We call him our Human Goat. He even went through a stage where he just couldn't resist trying to eat dirty diapers and would grab any he found and immediately try to bite them--thankfully we've moved on from that particular item!
Last night at dinner, however, he discovered how fun rigatoni can be. It was pretty cute to watch him chase the noddles around his tray in his attempts to stab them and get them on the ends of his fingers. He was pretty proud of himself when he succeeded!
In a turning of the tables, this time it was Samuel who showed Benjamin how to do something new :)
