Jason's Travels: Dubai

Jason was in Dubai at the very beginning of this month. This was the one port where no one was allowed to spend the night in a hotel; everyone had to sleep on the ship. I guess for security issues?? Jason's squadron, however, was in charge of shore patrol for this port call which essentially means that a some of the guys in the squadron have duty and act as a presence in the port. The nice thing about this was that since Jason was on duty most of the time, he was one of the few able to stay in a hotel and we were able to use our computers to do some video calling. The not-so-great part of being on duty for the whole port meant that he only got one picture. It is of the "sandbox," where the ship is docked. Jason took the shot early in the morning as he was returning to the pier. While there really isn't a whole lot to look at, you can get a feel for the sunny and hot desert environment.
