During Jason's brief Christmas break, he managed to not only relax and enjoy his time off but to also paint the baby's room! We have been working to convert our office/junk room into the nursery and so we moved our computer into the guest room and the junk that we couldn't bear to part with we moved into the garage. Since we will have to paint our house back to the original white wall color (actually, we think we just have to prime all of the painted walls with Kilz so the housing company can freshly repaint the walls) when we move in two years, we decided to only paint two walls (in an L-shape) in the baby's room. We had some blue paint leftover from when I painted the entryway a year ago and used this in the baby's room. Jason did a fantastic job and got both walls primed and painted with two coats of paint in just one day! We love how the blue color turned out. It is nice and bright in the sunshine but then gets darker at night. And, it just happens to perfectly highlight the blue and red train-themed crib sheets, bumper pads, quilt, and crib skirt that we have :)

Lucy likes to think she is a big help...

We'll post more pictures once we have the crib and other furniture set up.
