Yes, we've gotten tons of rain this last week from the storms that keep hitting southern California. Our yard is water logged (Lucy can't play ball because she would just end playing slip-and-slide instead) and the surrounding fields have turned into small lakes. Point Mugu made it into a cnn.com article because a water spout came off the Pacific Ocean on Friday night and tore the roof off one of the hangers. Lucy and I are becoming quite adept at taking short, fast walks around our circle and Lucy no longer seems to mind being toweled off by the front door. Yesterday, however, we got a little break in the rain and saw a bit of the sun! We used that opportunity to take a longer walk and that's when I climbed on top of the jungle gym across the street from our house and snapped this photo of snow on the mountain tops! These mountains are part of the Santa Monica Mountain range. Please notice the barbed wire at the bottom of the picture--that's how we know we live on a military base!
