Jason's Travels: Malaysia

Jason was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia earlier this week. The best part about Jason's port calls is that he can call home! While we are so thankful to be able to email each other all the time, it is even better to be able to talk on the phone!! This time we tried out our webcams. Unfortunately, Jason's webcam was not working, which meant he could see us but Benjamin and I couldn't see him :(

Jason had a great time on a day long tour with twelve other people in his squadron. They checked out some hot springs, went hiking through the jungle, fed some monkeys, and then took an evening river boat cruise.
Here is Jason by the hot springs:
This is the group at the trail head:

A fly trap tree:
Massive tree roots:
River shots:

They swam in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall:

Some of the funniest pictures came from the visit with the monkeys!
Here is a tree full of silverleaf monkeys
and an orange monkey baby!
While it doesn't look like Jason thinks the monkeys are very cuddly...
some of the other guys got up close and personal...

including the Skipper!
The restaurant that they stopped at for dinner was right on the water and Jason said that the food was pretty good.

Check out the fact that this sink to wash your hands in drains right into the river...
And here is a sunset:
I always ask Jason to take lots of pictures so that I can experience a little bit of his travels; I think he did a great job in Malaysia!
