Seeing Is Believing

Yesterday, before Benjamin's four month check-up, we were able to participate in a video teleconference with Jason! The squadron set up a VTC for all of the families interested and each family had nine minutes. Benjamin and I had a whole conference room to ourselves with a large screen tv to see Jason. The picture was slightly fuzzy and there was a bit of delay in hearing what Jason said, but it was so wonderful to be able to talk with Jason and at the same time SEE him. It was kind of weird to think that it was early in the morning for us and that our day was just beginning, yet it was very late at night for Jason and his day was finished and he was heading to bed after talking with us. We are both thankful that we live in a day with plenty of technology that helps make the time apart seem just a little bit easier.
