Ghetto?

During all of the windy and rainy weather we recently enjoyed, a section of our fence started to blow over. I called in a work order to have the fence fixed and the men came this morning just as I was leaving to go to the commissary to stock up on grocercies. When I came home, this is how they had fixed our fence. I'm just wondering if anyone else thinks this is a strange mixture of wood and metal and is slightly ghettoish?
